AN EXPENSE WITH A DEADLINE
Just Now LoanWhat must be paid, and how much is still missing?
Start with the bill and the payment deadline. Count only money you can use by that date; then decide how to address the remainder.

A deadline changes which money counts
A paycheck scheduled after the bill is due cannot close today’s gap unless the payee agrees to wait. Pending assistance, a possible refund and an unapproved loan are not confirmed funds. Keep them out of the available-money box until their amount and timing are established.
The worksheet subtracts available cash and confirmed funds arriving by your deadline from the expense. If those funds already cover it, the result is zero—not a suggestion to borrow the preset amount.
Choose the path that matches the expense
| Expense | First decision | Use the dedicated worksheet |
|---|---|---|
| Car repair | What is covered, and what is the cost of being without the car? | Repair quote and transport/work impact |
| Rent | Can the due date or installment arrangement change? | This month’s gap plus next month’s rent |
| Medical bill | Is the balance final and have provider options been checked? | Bill verification, assistance and payment-plan comparison |
| Utility bill | What exact amount must be paid to maintain service? | Provider-confirmed threshold and deadline |
These paths can change both the amount needed and the next action. They are not different names for the same loan.
Put the payee conversation beside the loan calculation
Ask the payee for a specific arrangement: amount, date, any charges and written confirmation of what the arrangement changes. Do not assume making a partial payment prevents a late action or disconnection. Get that confirmed for the account involved.
For housing and basic bills, USA.gov and 211 provide routes to assistance resources. Availability and timing depend on the program, so an application for help should not be entered as cash already received. USA.gov — Emergency help paying rent 211 — Utility expenses
Test the next income period, not only today
Enter reliable income, essentials, existing required payments and a reserve. Then subtract the proposed loan installment. The resulting remainder shows what the inputs leave—not what a lender will approve.
If that remainder is below zero, the planned payment creates another shortfall. A longer term may reduce an installment but will not necessarily solve an ongoing deficit; compare the total cost and the underlying budget as separate questions.
Urgent does not mean instant
Submission, verification, decision, signed agreement, release and bank posting are separate stages. A fast form or preliminary result does not establish when spendable money will arrive.
When the deadline is today, use the payee or assistance contact route immediately rather than relying on an unconfirmed funding promise. The planner cannot pause a bill deadline, arrange assistance or reserve loan funds.
Before taking a fallback loan
- Recheck the uncovered amount after any confirmed arrangement or reduction.
- Identify the actual provider and read its privacy and inquiry disclosures.
- Compare cash received, payment dates, APR, fees and total payments using the actual quote.
- Check that the first and later installments leave room for the bills that remain.
- Keep the written agreement and the provider’s servicing contact separate from this worksheet.
No payment-planning result here is a credit application. Just Now Loan does not submit this information to a lender or promise that an emergency loan is available.
When the shortfall comes back every month
Repeated borrowing changes next month’s starting point because the new installment becomes another commitment. The recurring-gap control directs attention to the creditor, assistance and budget paths instead of treating another loan as the automatic next step.
Use the same expense and income dates to identify the mismatch. A one-time timing problem and an income level that does not cover ordinary bills are different decisions, even when the amount missing today is identical.
