NON-EMPLOYMENT INCOME
Just Now LoanNo job and no repayment income are different situations
Identify a recurring source you can document, then check what remains after essential bills. A job title alone does not answer either question.
Independent planning tools. No lender application is sent.
Start with the numbersIncome-source and budget check
Your entries are planning inputs, not an offer. No personal identifiers are needed.
Illustrative arithmetic, not financial advice, eligibility or a lender offer. How the tools work
Begin with the source and its reliability
The selector distinguishes retirement or pension income, benefits, rental receipts, support payments, other recurring income and no reliable recurring income. It describes possible evidence to organize, not a list of income categories that a particular provider has agreed to accept.
Use the amount you can reasonably rely on after any relevant costs. A one-time transfer or a hoped-for new job is not the same as recurring income. If a source is ending soon, compare that end date with the full repayment term instead of using only the next deposit.
Prepare evidence without assuming acceptance
| Income context | Records to ask the provider about | Question to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| Retirement or pension | Current payment statement and matching deposit records | Which amounts and history will the provider use? |
| Benefits | Award or payment records and deposit evidence | What documents are required for the specific product? |
| Rental income | Rental/payment records and costs connected with that income | Is the usable amount after expenses being assessed? |
| Support payments | Records you choose to rely on and payment history | How is optional income disclosure handled? |
| Other recurring source | A clear explanation plus supporting records | Will the provider accept that source at all? |
Do not put benefit identifiers, account details or legal documents into this tool. The planning checklist requires only category selections.
Keep the budget test independent from the source label
The worksheet subtracts household essentials, existing commitments, a reserve and the proposed installment from the income you enter. A benefits or pension label does not change that arithmetic. A positive remainder also does not establish credit eligibility.
Avoid stretching a monthly figure across a repayment period it does not cover. For an irregular source, use the variable-income tools and identify when cash arrives—not only its average.
When the result points away from borrowing
If there is no reliable repayment source, the tool shows the assistance and payee-arrangement route rather than a lending invitation. If income exists but the entered budget is already negative, another installment increases the gap in the model.

Credit review remains a separate step
Non-employment income does not establish that a provider skips credit inquiries or other verification. Read the actual application disclosure to learn what is checked and at which stage. No-credit-check and guaranteed-approval claims are not supported by this planner. CFPB — Hard and soft credit inquiries
The website does not classify benefit income as protected from every creditor, give collection advice or determine a legal right. Those questions require the relevant current official guidance and circumstances.
A usable outcome before an application
Your result identifies evidence to gather, a budget remainder and the next planning page. It does not submit an application, contact a lender or reserve an amount.
For self-employment or gig work, use the specialized pages rather than forcing business revenue into a non-employment income box. They address deductions, transfers and overlapping payment records directly.
